For the first time in decades, the State government is conducting a review of the whole NSW planning system. The Government has appointed a review panel, led by former NSW Environment Minister Tim Moore and Ron Dyer to hold community consultation sessions throughout the state.
Two sessions are scheduled for Sydney on Monday, 14 November.
Please come along and have your say about the future of planning in NSW. It is vital the review panel hear from members of the public who support improved protection for the natural environment and a more transparent and inclusive planning system.
We’re also looking for confident speakers who might like to ask one or more of the EDO’s 10 key questions to inform planning reform in NSW. [See pdf below]
Your attendance is important! We need strong voices for our environment.
Participants in the community sessions will be emailed a follow-up questionnaire, with feedback forming part of the formal submission to the NSW Planning Review. Again, your views are crucial for good outcomes.
If you’d like to be involved, contact Jane Garcia on (02) 9516 1488 or email: jgarcia@nccnsw.org.au. Please indicate which session you’d like to attend and whether you’d like to ask a question.
Regional consultation sessions continue until the end of the month. Check out the community consultation schedule online at: www.planningreview.nsw.gov.au/Consultation/ConsultationMap/tabid/89/Default.aspx.
