Climate Challenge

The NCC developed the Community Climate Challenge in 2006 to inspire household and community action, facilitate ongoing behaviour change and promote more sustainable communities.

The Community Climate Challenge program has been imlpemented in a range of regions and Councils since, including the Clarence, Central Coast, Mosman, North Sydney, Warringah, Parramatta and Frankston City, resulting in real reductions in household greenhouse gas emissions and facilitating great sustainability initiatives in each community!

In 2011, we have partnered with Companion Credit Union to deliver the Hunter Valley Climate Challenge to the entire Hunter community. Read below to register for the Challenge or to see where we are up to.
