Chemical fire blazes in Canberra industrial area

Public inquiry must examine all pollution licence breaches: Channel 10 News

A second toxic industrial accident at Orica’s Koorang Island facility has prompted the Nature Conservation Council of NSW to call for a public inquiry into environmental pollution licences and their monitoring.

CEO Pepe Clarke tells Channel 10 News on 20 August, "We're concerned the Orica facility is just the tip of the iceberg and there's a need for a thorough review of the way in which toxic pollution risks are managed in NSW".
